Lights Out!

I realized that I had fallen asleep on the couch. My throat and hands were all dry. I had a book in my hand and a pen in the other. I turned on a fan but it seems that it wasn't working. No wonder I was sweating so much. I shifted my head towards the clock but it wasn't moving. I meticulously stood up to not make any noise. My cell phone's battery had been drained. As I moved toward the window, I noticed that not a single street light was on, except the ones on the other streets. I immediately spotted a group of technicians with a ladder but then a couldn't see any further because they were under my building. A transformer must of been damaged or some idiot crashed his car into one of those posts.

I knew it was late at night, but didn't know the exact time. As I turned around I accidentally stepped on one of my dog's toys. Then I heard footsteps coming down the hallway. This will surely come out as planned, I thought. I already knew that it was grandpa. Because of the fact that he was the only one in the house besides me. Though the rhythm of his footsteps seemed unusual to me. I have always been well-aware when it comes to studying people and their movement. I start to remember that he had told me he takes midnight sleep walks, so that figures it must be around midnight.

A flashlight turns on and I held my breath. I wouldn't want to get in his way due to the fact that he has dementia, which would cause him to attack me at first sight. Becoming one, the darkness assimilated me. I used my advantage of having a black shirt. He knew that someone was out there. Next, he gave up trying to look for the intruder and reached for his phone. He called someone with a deep voice, kind of like a business man. Dissension occurred when his tone of voice grew to an angry one. He was discussing about some stocks the man across the phone had bought.

With my book in my hand and pen in my mouth to restrict myself from breathing I quietly slipped by him and prayed he wouldn't notice. Which he didn't. I waited for him to raise his voice up again so I could open my door which makes a lot of noise when it opens and closes. I felt proud of myself, getting into my room and not letting him catch me. I would have surely be lionized by my bold acts if anyone were to have watched this.

The Guerrillas

Timoleon Jimenez conspired to steal important documents from a Colombian government building. Dissension occurred when Timoleon mentioned there will be drum-tight security, but as one of the leaders of the F.A.R.C. he then decided to go stealthy. When they got there, Timoleon and five of his guerrilla needed to be meticulous with their surroundings. At the first sight of a lone guard patrolling the entrance, Timoleon told one if his men to slit his throat in order to disguise himself. The disguised guerrilla then told another guard to open the gate and he acknowledged. The guerrilla soldier talked with the guard for a while and the guard had mentioned a soccer game was imminent causing many guards to pull out of there posts. After putting the guard into use, the guerrilla silently put the guard to sleep. He then ran back to inform Timoleon.

Timoleon assimilated the new information in which he would make his next move, enter the building. As they ran from cover to cover, they came across a man that was watching naked women on his TV which became the most bizarre image. The leader said to ignore that and continue on with the mission but one of the guerrillas stayed and watched. Next, they hid in a bush and twenty minutes had elapsed in order for the soccer game to start. Finally, Timoleon walked silently up the stairs to find that the doors to the important documents were open. All of his documents were their, some showing the locations of drug factories, other showing where the F.A.R.C. mostly operates. This will surely be a calamitous event for the Colombian government. He manages to steal the documents and puts it in his coat pocket.

But the guerrillas radio Timoleon and inform him that an important character is approaching the room he is in. With no time left, Timoleon quickly reacts and tackles the man to the ground. The guerrillas come behind him and strap him to a chair for interrogation. He then reveals many of the other guards are at a building behind this one watching the soccer game. He also admits he is an important politician in the Colombian government. They unstrap the metallic bars but the gorilla-like man shackles his escape. The team doesn't kill the politician but they do hurt him badly.

The next day when Timoleon got back to his hideout they lionize him for stealing these sensitive documents. But later they found out on the local news that a guerrilla had been apprehended while watching disturbing images on TV under the sweltering morning sun. The TV shows a video of him being arraigned for being an accomplice of the stolen documents. Later it shows that the government is going into a state of anarchy because of the politician they had beat up. It turns out the next day he couldn't talk for the speech he was supposed to attend.
